Redcliffe - Bristol

This complex contract involved the complete stripout, back to shell/core, of three floors of Bristol's second tallest building: a 16-storey live commercial office tower in the heart of the city. The building’s interior needed to be completely removed prior to the refurbishment and re-fit of the space. The work included the removal of all furniture, fittings, floor coverings, screeds, suspended ceilings, kitchens, electrics and lighting, as well as demolition of partitions.

The logistics of the contract meant that every item removed from site needed to be transported down to the ground floor by means of a goods lift, which along with the reception area was left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Careful planning was required to overcome the limited space available for removing the waste from site. As licensed waste carriers, we were able to remove all of the waste ourselves, using carefully planned lorry pick-ups. With all of other floors in the building remaining fully occupied, out of hours working was applied to all noisy works for the duration of the stripout contract. The success of this project has resulted in repeat works being carried out by ClearSite at Redcliffe Street.
